What makes me tick…

I have always been creative. Maybe a bit too creative if you ask my hubby. I was always one of those kids that liked putting things together not taking them apart. mind you if someone did take something apart there was a good chance that I could put it together again without extra parts left over at the end.

My grandparents once bought me a small swing set. I think I had more fun putting it together than I did playing on it. By the time they got done reading the instructions, I had it halfway together and I didn’t do it wrong.

Many of the things I make starts by someone asking if I can do this (insert Item they want made here) My answer has always been “Lets see”. I don’t actually know my limits on what I can make yet. (I Imagine making something that goes into space is one of my limits) But as far as making something that will be used daily or just once in a while, like a costume, is something I can easily handle.

First lunch bag strap I made 45" long

First lunch box/tool bag strap I ever made

That is how I got into making Lunch box/tool bag straps. Someone Said “Hey, do you think you could make me a woven strap from 3/8 rope and make it 45” long?” I said Lets see. He got the rope he wanted and the ends and I put it together for him. I have been making them for years now. Check them out here!

It has been a couple of years ago that I came upon the term Maker. I immediately thought That’s ME! There are so many creative people out there in the world and I am happy that I am one of them. So what can I make for you?
